MechieTechie (www.mechietechie.com) is an emerging and quickly growing blog with a wide range of focus. The central theme is technology, and while the blog explores many many other topics, it does its best to connect them all back together, in order to analyze, comment, critisize and encourage the motion of all things innovative. Well in an effort to accomodate its expanding range, MechieTechie is relauching the site with a whole new face and its whole new site later this month, and is looking for new talent! What kind of talent do we mean here? No, we don't want to see you spinning plates, or playing "Mary Had A Little Lamb" with your toe nails. Instead, MechieTechie is looking for writers to help out in its growing sections. As you review each section, keep in mind that the long term goal of each section is to relate itself to Technology and Innovation. Here are the subsections: - General: This section is the main site which will feature snipets of articles from each other section, as well as daily news from each area of interest. - TechieViews: Tech or mech inclined writers (anything from cell phones, cars, laptops, musicplayers, audio equipment to Rube Goldberg machines). This section deals primarily with reviewing units that we've gotten our hands on to review. - EntertainMechie: Reviews of music, movies, plays, dancing monkeys...anything entertaining really. People who love music and love to tell people your tastes are better than theirs...so, a music critic. Or someone with a mind for the-atre (and the movie theatre) to write about the current arts, and cultures behind entertainment. - MuseteCasts: Radio/Podcast show hosts of various genres who can put together their own shows of underground, little known artists (We've collected a handful of bands who let us play them. If you know a band you'd like to play, just send them an email and ask them!). - AutoMechie: Automotive news and reviews. - ArTechie: Exploration of art on both a local, national and worldly level. - Chicie: Fashion experts to write about innovation and tech in fashion. If you're interested in any of these, or think you can contribute to the site in some other fashion (marketing, web developement, etc), email us. If possible, please include a resume and a brief writing sample, as well as a statement of what your goal would be at MechieTechie in terms of researching technology in all of the given areas.

Compensation: At the moment the writing is on a voluntary basis, but if things go well for the site, expect some returns. Also, if you are interested in reviewing something (clothes or tech), there is a chance you may be able to receive samples to review and either keep the reviewed items or purchase them at a discounted rate! For concert goers, if communication can be made with the artists and their management, there is a chance that you can enter shows for free as press members.

Telecommuting is ok.
