Duncan Ross is a Vancouver-based investment manager founded in 1987. We currently have 6 employees and over $650 million under management.
We focus our investments in common stocks and income securities. Our approach is long term, and we consider our investments pieces of business rather than pieces of paper. Our portfolios typically hold no more than a dozen investments and bear little resemblance to the market portfolios. We search for businesses where the intrinsic value of the business should increase at an above-average rate over a long period of time, and whose shares can be purchased at a reasonable price.

The Position
We are looking for a unique individual to fill a unique position at a unique firm. We require an experienced equities analyst who shares our value investing outlook and who can open and staff our new Montreal office. Core to the job is the ability to work independently and unconventionally and to generate creative ideas and analysis about current and potential investees.
